For 24 years, Ulla has been making award-winning high-end documentaries for domestic and international broadcasters.
As one of the senior management team at Darlow Smithson Productions for the last 16 years she has worked on features including the Bafta winning “Touching the Void”, specialist factual documentaries such as “Stephen Hawking’s Universe” as well as factual programmes such as “Thriller in Manila” and, most recently, “The King in the Car Park”.
Being part of a company over a considerable time, Ulla was able to initiate training schemes and staff development programmes that have enabled the next generation of programme makers to start their careers.
Ulla has also managed highly successful international series such as “Seconds from Disaster” and “I Shouldn’t Be Alive” and a raft of factual based dramas for the BBC (Anne Frank and Crash); ITV “U Be Dead” and Channel Four’s recent ratings success “The Mill”.
